第一章 学期安排

第一条 南京林业大学每学年分为秋季和春季两个学期。秋季学期为第一学期,春季学期为第二学期。

第二条 每学期约20周。具体开学、考试时间,本科生以教务处、研究生以研究生院的安排为准。

第三条 每年7月上旬开始放暑假,约7周。寒假是根据学校安排,约5周时间。

第四条 具体的学期安排可以参阅每学期的校历。

第二章 修学期限与毕业要求

第一条 本科生标准学制为四年。学生在校学习时间根据学生推迟修满学分的不同情况而定,本科生不得超过六年。硕士生学习年限一般为三年,可以申请提前或推迟毕业。达到培养标准的优秀硕士生可以提前半年或一年毕业。硕士生从入学起在校最长年限不得超过四年;博士生学习年限一般为三年,可以申请推迟毕业,博士生从入学起在校最长年限不得超过七年。交换生和语言生的学习期限根据学生的学习要求确定。

第二条 留学生入学后应尽快了解本专业培养方案中对课程、学分的要求。

本科生的毕业要求:留学生在学校规定的学习年限内,修完培养计划规定的全部课程和学分,成绩合格,准予毕业,由国际教育学院发给毕业证书。符合学士学位授予条件的,经学校学位评定委员会集体审议,通过者由学校授予学士学位。(详见留学生本科生学籍管理规定)

研究生的毕业要求:留学生研究生按培养计划的要求在规定年限内,完成课程学习和必修环节,成绩合格,完成毕业(学位)论文并通过答辩,考核合格,准予毕业,由国际教育学院发给毕业证书。符合学位授予条件,经学校学位评定委员会评审通过者,由学校研究生院颁发学位证书。

第三章 教学纪律

留学生考勤办法参照留学生学籍管理的相关规定执行,可由任课教师按学生名单进行,也可由班主任或班长检查缺席人数,报告任课教师并记入学生考勤簿内,缺课所受处分可参考《南京林业大学学生违纪处理规定

第一条 留学生应自觉遵守学习纪律,按学校规定的课程上课,不得旷课、迟到和早退。

第二条 因病、因事不能上课者应向班主任(辅导员老师)及任课老师提前请假。因病者应出示医生/医院开具的证明,请假天以上者,需提交书面申请,经国际教育学院批准后方可休假。学校一般不批准两周以上的请假。

第三条 学习期间不得请假旅游。利用周末外出旅行者,不得影响学习。

第一条 毕业的留学生应于离校前一周前往国际教育学院领取离校存查单。

第二条 学生凭离校存查单到相关的学院部门和公寓管理员处办理相关手续

第三条 到国际教育学院结清全部账务并领取成绩单、毕业证书学位证书

第四条 不办理离校手续而离校的留学生,学校将不提供在校学习证明、学习成绩单及证书等。

第五条 因故不能按时离校的学生,应提前与国际教育学院联系。

 

Academic Guidance for International Students

Chapter 1  Semester Schedule

Article 1  Each academic year at NJFU is divided into two semesters: fall and spring. The fall semester is the first semester and the spring semester is the second semester.

Article 2  Approximately 20 weeks per semester. The exact start and examination schedule is determined by the Registrar's Office for undergraduate students and the Graduate School for graduate students.

Article 3  Summer vacation begins in early July each year and lasts approximately 7 weeks. Winter vacation is based on school schedules and lasts about 5 weeks.

Article 4  Specific semester schedules can be found in the school calendar for each semester.

Chapter 2 Duration of Study and Requirements for Graduation

Article 1  The standard undergraduate program is four years. The duration of student's study in school varies according to the student's deferral of credits, and may not exceed six years for undergraduate students. The study period for master's degree students is normally three years, and they can apply for early or delayed graduation. Outstanding master's degree students who meet the training standards can graduate half a year or one year earlier. The maximum duration of study for master's degree students shall not exceed four years from the date of enrollment. The duration of study for doctoral degree students shall be three years in general, and they can apply for delayed graduation, and the maximum duration of study for doctoral degree students shall not exceed seven years from the date of enrollment. The duration of study for exchange students and language students is determined according to the student's study requirements.

Article 2  International students should learn about the requirements for courses and credits in the cultivation program of the program as soon as possible after enrollment. In principle, undergraduate and graduate international students take classes together with Chinese students, and the graduation requirements are the same as those for Chinese students.

Article 3  Graduation Requirements for Undergraduates: International students who have completed all the courses and credits stipulated in the cultivation program and passed the grades within the study period specified by the university will be allowed to graduate and be issued graduation certificates by the College of International Education. If they meet the requirements for bachelor's degree conferment, they will be conferred the bachelor's degree by the university after collective deliberation by the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of the university.

Graduation Requirements of Postgraduates: International postgraduates who have completed the courses and compulsory parts of the courses in accordance with the requirements of the cultivation plan within the stipulated years, passed the grades, completed the graduation (degree) thesis and passed the defense, and passed the assessment, will be allowed to graduate, and be issued a graduation certificate by the College of International Education. Those who meet the requirements for degree conferment and pass the evaluation by the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of the university will be issued a degree certificate by Graduate School of the university.

Chapter 3  Academic Discipline

International students shall refer to the relevant regulations of international students' academic registration management for their attendance, which can be carried out by class teachers according to the list of students, or the class teacher or class monitor can check the number of absentees, report to the class teacher and record it in the students' attendance book, and the penalties for absenteeism can be referred to the "Regulations on the Handling of Disciplinary Violations of International Students of Nanjing Forestry University".

Article 1  International students should consciously abide by the study discipline, attend classes as prescribed by the university, and shall not be absent, late or leave early.

Article 2  Those who are unable to attend classes due to illness or accident should apply for leave of absence in advance to the homeroom teacher and the teacher of the class. Those who cannot attend classes due to illness should present a certificate issued by a doctor/hospital. Those who are absent for more than one day are required to submit a written application for leave of absence, which will be approved by the School of International Education. The school will not normally approve a leave of absence of more than two weeks.

Article 3  No leave may be taken for travel during the study period. Those who use weekends to travel must not interfere with their studies.

Chapter4 School Leaving Formalities

Article 1  Graduating international students should go to the College of International Education one week prior to their departure to obtain the Departure Checklist.

Article 2  Students should present the Departure Checklist to the relevant faculties, departments and apartment administrators to complete the relevant procedures.

Article 3  Visit the School of International Education to settle all accounts and receive transcripts, diplomas and degrees.

Article 4  International students who leave the university without completing the departure procedures will not be provided with proof of enrollment, academic transcripts and certificates.

Article 5  Students who are unable to leave on time for any reason should contact the School of International Education in advance.
