Dear international students:

暑假即将开始，为帮助大家度过一个安全有序、愉快健康的假期，现将假期安排及相关安全注意事项告知如下，请仔细阅读并遵照执行。

The summer vacation is about to begin. To help you enjoy a safe, orderly, pleasant and healthy holiday, the vacation arrangements and relevant safety tips are hereby notified as follows. Please read carefully and follow them strictly.

一、本次暑假时间为7月13日至8月30日，8月29日为新学期注册报到时间，8月31日（星期一）正式上课。假期计划离开南京的学生，请严格履行请假流程，填写南京林业大学国际学生（研究生/本科生）请假申请表，前往国际教育学院115办公室办理请假审批手续。未经请假擅自离校者，学校将视情节轻重给予相应纪律处分。

The summer vacation runs from July 13 to August 30. Registration for the new semester will be held on August 29, and classes will officially start on Monday, August 31. Students who plan to leave Nanjing during the vacation must strictly complete the leave application process: fill in the Leave Application Form for International Students (Graduate/Undergraduate) of Nanjing Forestry University and submit it to Office 115 of the College of International Education for approval. Students who leave the campus without prior leave approval will be given corresponding disciplinary sanctions according to the severity of the circumstances.

二、根据最新气象预报，今年第9号台风“巴威”预计将于7月10日至13日对南京带来明显风雨影响，其间可能出现强降雨、大风等天气，风力17 级以上，请大家提前做好防范。

1.请尽量减少外出，避免前往海边、山区、河道及低洼易积水区域，不在树木、广告牌、围墙等附近停留。

2.关好宿舍门窗，妥善收好阳台物品。

3.台风期间可能停水停电，请提前为手机充电，准备好饮用水和食物。

4.由于亚热带季风气候的原因，暑假期间风雨天气多发，请实时关注天气变化。

According to the latest meteorological forecast, Typhoon Bavi (the 9th typhoon of this year) is expected to bring significant wind and rainfall to Nanjing from July 10 to 13. During this period, extreme weather such as heavy rain and strong winds may occur, with wind force reaching level 17 or above on the Beaufort scale. Please take necessary precautions in advance.

1.Please minimize unnecessary outings, and avoid visiting coastal areas, mountainous regions, riverbanks, and low-lying areas prone to waterlogging. Do not linger near trees, billboards, perimeter walls and other structures that may topple or collapse under strong winds.

2.Make sure all dormitory doors and windows are securely closed, and properly store or secure items placed on your balconies.

3.Tap water and electricity supply may be interrupted during the typhoon. Please charge your mobile phones in advance, and prepare sufficient drinking water and food.

4.Due to the subtropical monsoon climate, stormy weather is frequent during the summer vacation period. Please stay updated on real-time weather changes.

三、遵守法律法规与校规校纪。所有学生必须遵守中国法律法规及学校各项规章制度。违反国家法律法规的，将由公安、司法机关依法追究法律责任，同时学校将视情节给予警告直至开除学籍的纪律处分。请特别注意：严禁持学生签证非法务工、严禁签证逾期停留、严禁酒后滋事、严禁在校外扰乱公共秩序。严禁擅自前往野外游泳，严禁黄赌毒，严禁酒后狂欢或做出任何与学生身份不符的行为。

Abide by laws, regulations and university disciplines. All students must comply with Chinese laws and regulations as well as the rules and regulations of Nanjing Forestry University. Violations of national laws and regulations will result in legal liabilities pursued by public security and judicial authorities in accordance with the law. Meanwhile, the university will impose disciplinary sanctions ranging from warning to expulsion according to the seriousness of the case. Special attention should be paid to the following prohibitions: illegal employment on a student visa, overstaying due to expired visa, unruly behavior under the influence of alcohol, and disturbing public order off campus.It is strictly prohibited to go swimming in the wild without permission. It is also strictly forbidden to engage in activities such as gambling, drugs, or to engage in any behavior that is inconsistent with a student's status after drinking alcohol.

四、严守学生公寓管理规定。严格禁止翻越校园围墙，禁止校外人员留宿学生公寓。一经查实，将予以严肃处理；情节严重者，取消下一学年奖学金参评资格。暑假留校学生不得夜不归宿，如需外出，必须提前请假。

All students are strictly required to abide by the student apartment management regulations. Climbing over campus perimeter walls is strictly prohibited, and overnight accommodation for off-campus personnel in student apartments is forbidden. Anyone found violating the above rules will be subject to severe disciplinary measures; those with serious violations will be disqualified from scholarship eligibility for the upcoming academic year.Students who stay on campus during the summer vacation are not allowed to stay out at night. If they need to go out, they must apply for leave in advance.

五、提前办理签证延期手续。签证有效期在暑假期间届满的同学，请提前缴纳学费、住宿费，并及时办理签证延期，避免出现签证逾期问题。校外住宿的同学请准守属地的各项规定，及时与当地公安机关保持联系履行各项手续。

Complete visa extension procedures in advance. Students whose visas expire during the summer vacation should pay tuition fees and dormitory fees in advance, and arrange visa extension procedures timely to avoid visa overstay.Students who live off campus are required to abide by all the regulations of the local area, and keep in regular contact with the local police to complete all the necessary procedures.

六、校园餐饮区域开放安排。暑期食堂开放时段将根据校园保障安排另行通知，请同学们关注食堂现场公告及学院后续通知，合理安排就餐时间。

Opening hours of campus dining areas. The opening schedule of campus canteens during summer vacation will be notified separately in accordance with campus service arrangements. Please pay attention to the on-site announcements of the canteen and follow-up notices from the college to arrange your meal time properly.

请同学们务必提高安全意识，做好个人防护，合理规划假期生活。如有紧急情况，请及时联系学院辅导员。
